My interest in Amateur Radio has focused more on the logistics of radio involvement in public events, rather than on the technicalities. It was sparked by military communications whilst in the CCF at school, but died until rekindled through again meeting up with Brian VK7BW, on returning to Tasmania from New South Wales. Early on, radio use was via commercial radio and concerned primarily with supporting motor sport events. I also gained a marine HF and VHF licence. A move to including Amateur Radio came with gaining my Novice licence in 2003, followed a year later with my Advanced licence, or Limited as it was then whilst Morse Code was still a requirement for a “full ticket”.

The pictures are mostly from service events I organised between 2004 and 2021. I took most of them, but others may have crept in. I apologise to the takers of any I haven’t acknowledged.
